ESE – Recycling Colors

In 2021 I made this animation for ESE to once again emphasize their care for and actual aspects of their recycling practices.

This time the animation focused on colors or rather the importance of settling for less color for more effective reycling. To achieve vibrant colors in finished plastic goods you need to use so called master pellets which provide the needed color pigment density. By choosing to have more muted colors or a simple anthracite tone you are able to use a much larger amount of purely recycled plastics. Small colored clips attach to the lid of the container are enough to clearly distinguish different fractions.
